in contrast...
...and forgetting the 'lull' here at Pitta Magic...
London is a glorious shade of ruddy grey, with a brisk wind and light precipitation. Stern looking people mill back and forth past newspaper hawkers wearing - seemingly - the entire contents of their wardrobe against the elements.
Clientco towers is a hive of activity with 3 numpties tapping away - me included.
Highlights:
Getting married. Bizarre still, not quite sunk in despite months of planning and preparation.
Honeymoon in a tropical paradise. That was nice, if you forget second degree sunburn and the waterskiing accident.
Coming back to a couple of projects way ahead of schedule, thanks to some great colleagues we brought in at the last minute.
My latest gadget is an amazing bit of kit. Really. I'd give a review if so many people hadn't already
done it for me.
Lowlights:
Did I mention sunburn?
13 hour flights really aren't my thing. I keep vowing I'll travel business class on any long hauls - and keep booking economy at the time, having forgotten what a terrible experience it was.
And that's about it for now. Shout out to Kat in the Valley. Use the Source. :)

random madness
Was walking past Crazy Buffet on El Camino Real earlier when a wild-haired, wide-eyed loon came running at me, obviously taking it literally. I didn't get a chance to find out what was on Crazy Buffet's mind, saved by the iPod & sunnies combination again.
So having decided it's probably not safe to wander out of the confines of my hotel boundaries, at least on foot, am working from the Mexican-themed poolside which is pretty chilled apart from the incredibly loud French/American child (what a combination) who apparently has his own internal microphone.
Thinking happy, Zen thoughts...
suburbia
Will ignore the shame that it's been about a quarter of a year since the last post, which is probably around 2 web years, or maybe more now according to Moore's law, or something.
So am stuck in suburban hell for Memorial weekend in Silicon Valley, I always seem to pick times to work here when there are holidays, which you'd think would be ace, but not when you're staying out in Stepford-land where I currently am, waiting for Something Good to happen.
Hot: spotted a geek wearing a 'may the source be with you' T-shirt. Want one!
Not: also spotted someone Quite Important staring at my chest - although I'll have to give the benefit of the doubt and assume that he was impressed with my Welsh dragon T-shirt, which *is* fab so fair enough (and 100% more likely).
Kat.
